Dirty Road Race

Alrighty, this past weekend Andrew, Brian, Sean, Lee and I decided to participate in the Dirty Road Race. This was decided after a slew of phone calls the night before. It was cold and rainy, which equals lots of fun. The race started neutral until some point, it really wasn't clear. On the roads I made a small attack right away, then Lee. after a few minutes there was a group ahead with Sean and some A9Y guys. Andrew was in the middle trying to bridge, so I came out of the group and joined Andrew. Luckly for us there wasn't any clear markings on the course on when to turn and we missed the turn onto gravel. We doubled back and chased and chased and chased. Lee waited for us and helped us through the muck. We were picking off riders one by one. The start of the second lap Lee was toasted with freezing feet. Andrew and I caught up to Kim West, who convienently led us on another wrong turn. At this point Sean and Jared were off the front together and Brian was in the main pack(of like 4 other riders). Sean and Jared took a wrong turn and cut five miles of the course, what a tactic. Kim West eventually dropped out of the race and Andrew and I finished 5 and 6. I would note that we saw Lane on the course and he looked as if he was about to pass out. In the end Sean and Jared were DQed and Brian finished 2nd overall. After the race we went to Pizza Ranch and had a great time.

WEEKEND TRAINING CAMP

This past weekend B2U/WOB Racing Squad got together in Iowa city and Cedar Falls for an intense couple of days of training. There were no pictures from the camp as it was closed to the media. It wasn't all fun and games for B2U/WOB this weekend, as Finn stated

"I think that was one of the hardest 25 miles of my life."

True he may have been speaking about trying to hold a conversation over Bryan's blaring Pantera music while on the road, but the riding was difficult as well. It was fun to get some of the team together since we don't get to see all of them as much in the off season.

This upcoming weekend a large bunch of B2U/WOB will be attending the 2 gravel road races and would like to welcome all riders to come on out.

"see you guys saturday morning in mitchellville." -bryan

It is our hope that training is going well for all, and B2U/WOB racers are all getting very excited for Kent Park to Kick off the Season.
